Premier League preview and odds: Crystal Palace vs Stoke City
September 18 , 2016 14:15pm - Selhurst Park
Premier League
Middling Crystal Palace will look to extend their unbeaten run to three games when they host bottom-of-the-pile Stoke City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Palace looking to build on recent four-point haul
After starting the season with two-straight defeats, Crystal Palace responded by bagging four points from their next two games against Bournemouth and Middlesbrough. They will now look to boost their tally when the league`s bottom-placed team visits Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.
While the draw at home to Bournemouth was nothing to get excited about, last week`s win away to a tough Middlesbrough side suggested that Alan Pardew`s men may have finally turned a corner after enduring a torrid spell of form since the turn of the year.
The arrivals of striker Christian Benteke certainly seems to have given the Londoners a boost, with the Belgian bagging his first league goal for the club last weekend. The home crowd will be hoping for more of the same this weekend.
While Palace occupy a mid-table position, opponents Stoke City are firmly rooted to the bottom of the table after picking up just a single point from their opening four games. This weekend, they will try to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak that concluded with last week’s 0-4 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Mark Hughes` would have been hoping to better last season’s ninth-place finish but so far, his team has come up short. An opening at draw at Middlesbrough provided their only point of the campaign so far and no team has conceded more goals (10) than the Potters.
Team news
The home side`s medical issue continue with Connor Wickham, Pape Souare, Loic Remy, Fraizer Campbell and Bakary Sako all out injured.
Meanwhile, the visitors will have to cope without Jack Butland, Stephen Ireland and Ibrahim Afellay.

Betting odds and tips
Palace have shown glimpses of improvement and now have a potent striker to provide a focal point for their attack.
Stoke, on the other hand, have shown little to suggest that they are close to snapping their losing streak.
Back the home win at 21/20 or Christian Benteke to score anytime at 6/4 with Bet365.
