Premier League preview and odds: Watford vs Manchester United
September 18 , 2016 12:00pm - Vicarage Road Stadium
Premier League
Manchester United will look to bounce back from two straight defeats when they travel south to face an improving Watford side at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on Sunday.
Bad week at the office for Jose
Manchester United slumped to their first league defeat of the season last week when they were undone 1-2 at home by local rivals Manchester City. Despite the close score-line, the visitors dominated the game and had little trouble holding out for the win as United fought desperately to get back into the game.
After failing to get the upper hand against rival Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho suffered further disappointment as his side fell 1-0 away to Feyenoord in Thursday night`s Europa League opener. Next up for the Red Devils is a clash against a Watford team embarking on their second term back in the top flight.
The Hornets kicked off their season with a three-game winless run, drawing 1-1 against Southampton on the opening day before enduring back-to-back defeats against Chelsea (1-2) and Arsenal (1-3).
Last week, they looked to be on course for a third-straight loss after going two goals down after 33 minutes at West Ham United. However Walter Mazzarri`s men pulled level before the break and then added another two goals in the second half to leave with all three points in the bag.
Fans of the Hertfordshire club will be hoping that last week’s victory will provide the spark to ignite their season as the team begins to adapt to life under their new Italian boss.
Team news
The home side`s injury issues appear to be subsiding with Stefano Okaka the only notable absentee.
Meanwhile, Luke Shaw, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Phil Jones are all side-lined for the visitors.

Betting odds and tips
An improving Watford will try to pounce on a Manchester United team still licking their wounds after a difficult week. The home side have had a full week to prepare while the visitors have been on the European trail. At the very least, they will hope to continue their trend of scoring in every game this season. If they can manage that, they may just stand a chance of taking something from this game.
You can back the Watford/Draw Double Chance at 5/4 with Bet365.
