Premier League preview and odds: Sunderland vs West Bromwich Albion
October 01 , 2016 15:00pm - Stadium of Light
Premier League
Rock bottom Sunderland will look for a lift on Saturday when middle-of-the-road West Bromwich Albion pay a visit to the Stadium of Light for this Premier League clash.
Pressure already on Moyes after abysmal start
When David Moyes joined Sunderland he described them as a big club and likened the job to the one he took on at Everton more than a decade ago. He talked about the need to build on last year`s dramatic survival under Sam Allardyce and start climbing the Premier League table. However, what was supposed to be the beginning of a period of stability for the club has already turned into a crisis situation with the Scotsman already facing early pressure after a string of poor results.
The Black Cats looked to be on course for a maiden win last week when they took a 2-0 lead at home to Crystal Palace but a late capitulation saw them fall 2-3 - aresult that left them stranded at the bottom of the Premier League table. With just one point gained from their first six fixtures, the northeast club are already three points adrift from safety. They have lost all three of their home games, with their lone point coming on the road at Southampton.
Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion are sitting in familiar mid-table territory having won two, drawn two and lost two since the start of the campaign. Tony Pulis` men are unbeaten in two having beaten West Ham United 4-2 at home before drawing 1-1 at struggling Stoke City last weekend. They will be hoping to finish their trio of matches against the bottom three clubs by adding at least another point to their tally on Saturday.
Team news
Sunderland will have to make do without Vito Mannone, Fabio Borini, Adnan Januza and Seb Larsson who are all still injured.
Meanwhile, the visitors are back to full strength for this clash.

Betting odds and tips
Sunderland have lost their last three home games and their last five have all produced Over 2.5 goals. However, West Brom have only lost one of their last five away games in the league and all of their last six road trips have produced Under 2.5 goals. Tony Pulis` men can be expected to keep it tight again and should just snatch the win.
You can back the 0-1 away win at 8/1 with Bet365.
