Premier League preview and odds: Watford vs AFC Bournemouth
October 01 , 2016 15:00pm - Vicarage Road
Premier League
Two teams level on points will jostle for position in the Premier League table on Saturday as 11th-ranked Watford take on fellow second-termers AFC Bournemouth at Vicarage Road.
Second season stability the target for both clubs
Watford have had an average start to their second season back in the top flight - their first under new boss Walter Mazzarri. An opening day draw away to Southampton was followed up by defeats on home soil to Chelsea and Arsenal, before a pair of wins away to West Ham and at home to Manchester United lifted them back into the top half of the table. Last time out, the slipped back into the bottom section with a 2-0 defeat away to newly-promoted Burnley.
The Hornets` cause has been helped by a decent return of 10 Premier League goals - a tally only bettered by four teams. However, only four teams have shipped more goals (11) than the Hertfordshire team.
Meanwhile AFC Bournemouth will look to keep their heads above water by recording their third win in four games this weekend. Having won their last two home games by a 1-0 score-line, Eddie Howe’s men will now look to pick up their first away win of the season.
The Cherries have not been great on the road, having picked up just one point and scored just one goal in the three games they have played so far.
Team news
The home side still have several injury worries with Jerome Sinclair, Brice Dja Djedje, Stefano Okaka and Daryl Janmaat still out of action.
Meanwhile, the visitors should have a full strength squad to choose from.

Betting odds and tips
The visitors seem to be finding some form but they have been unconvincing on the road, having picked up just a single point so far.
Meanwhile, Watford`s three home games all came against title contenders but they did manage to secure maximum points from the meeting with Manchester United. Their physical presence should be enough to see them edge past their rivals on Saturday.
