Produced by Dynamite Idea Interactive Gaming, “Casino Dice” is a simplified version of Craps that is now available at major Internet gaming sites such as Bet365. The game uses a standard pair of six-faced dice, and the object is to correctly predict the total that will show when the dice are rolled. Most of the other Craps side bets, like Hard Ways and Field Bets, have been eliminated, so there is little to cause for distraction. Any player with a good sense for numbers and a little intuition can turn small wagers into big winnings in just a matter of a few good rolls.

The Casino Dice display is also quite simple, resembling an overhead view of the left end of a Craps table. On the left half of the screen is the green felt throwing area, made to look more realistic by showing loose chips collected by the croupier on the pit crew’s side table and reflected in its side mirror. On the far left rail, the “Bet History” can be seen for the last ten rolls.

On the right side of the screen is the “Chip Selector.” Using the up/down arrows above and below the chip indicators allows the player to choose a denomination. The available amounts are €0.50, €1, €5, €10, €20 and €50. Bets are placed by clicking directly on the “Odds” boxes that appear on the right side of the table’s face. These boxes show the payouts associated with each of the eleven possible dice totals that can be rolled.

A winning roll of 7 earns a stake multiplier of 5.6X. Catching a successful 6 or 8 pays 6.8X, while winning with a 5 or 9 pays 8.5X. The odds associated with totals of 4 or 10 are 11.3X, and for the 3 or 11 they are 17X. The highest payout is 34X, and it is awarded for correctly wagering on the 2 or 12. Note that ‘Split Bets” between two numbers are possible, too, by moving the cursor to the line separating the two desired numbers.

Additional wagering areas are provided for betting on dice totals of 10~12 called “Upper” and 2~4 referred to as “Lower.” Correct forecasts in either of these sections pay out at odds of 5.6X. It is also possible to bet on the numbers 5~9 as a group called “Middle” at odds of 1.4X.

Once any wagers have been made in the various Odds boxes, hey can only be changed by clicking on the white “X” in a red circle marked “Clear All” at the lower right corner of the display. As soon as all bets are right, the “Total Stake” indicator in the lower left corner will display the sum of all wagers placed. Clicking on the red “Roll” button at the bottom of the display will set the game in motion and cause two dice to be tossed from the right side of the screen into the throwing area.

If there are no winning bets, the message display below the Total Stake indicator will flash the word “Unlucky” and the table will clear for the next wager. The yellow “Repeat Bet” button will light up below the Clear All button, allowing the previous wager to be made once more with just a click.

If the roll results in a winning total, the amount won will appear in the message display and a pop-up “Gamble” box will appear in the throwing area. This pop-up gives the player the option to “Roll again to double your winnings.” The player may wager all of the winnings on whether the last die on the next roll will be “Higher” or “Lower” than the first die rolled. The odds are even money and in case of matching dice, the player receives one free roll. If the player chooses not to Gamble, clicking on the red “Collect” button will add the winnings to the player’s fund balance and reset the display for the next roll.
