Go To bet365Yet another addition to Realistic Gaming’s line-up of hyper-realistic looking “Real 2 Reel” slot games is “Double Bubble.” Like Pentagram and other games in this series, this 5-reel, 20-payline slot can be played in either “Full Cabinet View” mode, surrounded by other slot machines just like on a real casino floor, or in “Close-up” mode so that only the view of the reels can be seen on the screen.
The Double Bubble game console offers a very authentic 3-D look. Controls are found on a ledge-like panel below the reels, glowing neon lights frame the console and a tombstone-shaped marquee appears at the top, depicting a sunken ship at the bottom of the ocean surrounded by colourful coral and sea vegetation.
The game begins with the player selecting an amount for wagering. This is accomplished by using the up/down arrows next to the “Stake per Line” indicator in the middle of the control panel. Available wagers range from €0.01 to €10.00. From 1 to 20 paylines can be selected, too, by using the up/down arrows next to the “Lines in Play” indicator. With all 20 lines activated, the maximum possible total stake is €200.
The basic symbols on the reels are the standard cards, Tens through Aces. Catching three or more of them on an active win line from left to right is worth a line bet multiplier of from 10X to 200X. Three or more matching Seahorse, Crab or Tropical Fish symbols will pay multipliers from 40X to 800X. There is also a Shark symbol on the reels that serves as a wild, substituting for all symbols except the Gold Coin Scatter. Catching 3, 4 or 5 Sharks on an active payline is worth a multiplier of 700X, 5000X or 10000X, respectively.
The Gold Coin Scatter appears on all five reels. Whenever 3, 4 or five of the scatter symbols come up in any positions, they pay total bet multipliers of 1X, 10X or 125X, respectively. Three or more scatters also activate the Free Spins Bonus Round, which is worth 10 free spins. During this round, a special Double Bubble Logo symbol appears on the middle reel. Anytime it displays, in any position, it doubles the amount of the bonus won up to that point.
The maximum payout during the Free Spins Bonus Round is 10000X times the stake per line value. Any payouts over that amount, or unused free spins, will be cancelled. Note that the free spins cannot be re-triggered. Any scatter award achieved during the free spins will award the scatter payout only.
Apart from excellent audio and graphics, Double Bubble has a state-of-the-art Autoplay option. The access button is on the right side of the control panel next to the “Start” button. Clicking on it opens an Autoplay screen with several options, including settings for the number of auto spins from 1 to 500, a stop amount for jackpots, a “Fast Bank” function on/off, and the option to either pause or automatically continue when the Free Spins Bonus Round feature is awarded.
Once the setting have been chosen, Autoplay is put into action by clicking on “Begin.” The automatic spins can be cancelled at any time by clicking on “Stop.’ While Autoplay is functioning, all other control button turn dark and cannot be used.
During normal slot play, following any successful wagers the symbols in the winning combination light up, outlined in colour, while all non-winning symbols go dark. Animation of winning symbols is minimal, such as some sidestepping by the Crab or teeth-gnashing by the wild Shark. During the free spins mode, the neon frame lights change colour when the Double Bubble Logo bonus is awarded.
