JPM Interactive has been instrumental in bringing popular land-based fruit machines to the Internet. They have also demonstrated their innovative talents by developing a series of online Progressive Jackpot slots under the collective title “Max Power.” Among these is “Eldorado Max Power,” a 3-reel, 5-payline game with traditional fruit symbols on its reels.
The three reels of Eldorado Max Power are displayed off-centre to the left of the screen, leaving room for the Paytable and Turbo Cash multiplier ladder on the right. Above the reels is the “Max Power Bonus” display, which remains shuttered until triggered by the game. At the top right is the “Max Power Progressive” indicator with the “Winnings” counter just below it.
The player’s “Credit” counter is just below the reels, and five circular control buttons in different colours are spaced at equal intervals across the bottom of the screen: yellow “Collect,” red “Max Stake,” blue “Turbo Cash,” orange “Turbo Play” and green “Start.” Below the Paytable is the “Stake” indicator with up/down arrows for setting the wager per spin from £0.25 to £10. There is also an “Auto Play” indicator to the right of the Stake, which can be used to set the number of automated spins between 5 and 100.
Each spin always features all five paylines—three horizontal and two diagonal. The payout table shows the amounts that can be won for catching three matching symbols on a payline. Cherries pay odds of 2X, Lemons are worth 5X, and Oranges yield 10X. Aligning three Plums is worth 15X, three Bells pay 20X, three Grapes fetch 30X and three Watermelons are valued at 40X. Catching three Red Sevens also pays 40X, while three Diamonds are worth 50X. There are no Wild symbols on the reels.
Following each win, a cash register sounds and the player has the option to use the Turbo Cash feature. Music plays and lights flash in the Credit display. If the player wants to simply keep the amount won, clicking on the yellow “Collect” button will deposit the winnings to the player’s funds and reset the game for the next spin. Otherwise, the player may gamble the amount won to gain higher multipliers on the Turbo Cash ladder by clicking the blue Turbo Cash button at the bottom of the screen.
A successful click on the Turbo Cash button will increase the winnings to 2X and advance the multiplier up the ladder up accordingly. The player may again click on Turbo Cash to attempt to gain the 3X rung if successful or else fall back to 1X upon losing. This process continues with the multiplier moving up or down until all is lost or Collect is clicked or the tenth and top rung marked “Super Turbo Cash” is reached. Super Turbo Cash is an offer to double up again or to half gamble. In either event, the ladder journey ends here.
Note that the Turbo Cash feature is available during Auto Play mode, too. However, the player must make a selection manually within 10 seconds of the triggering win; otherwise the game will default to Collect.
The game’s “Max Power Bonus” is triggered any time a Max Power Logo symbol appears on each of the three reels in any position. The shuttered display above the reels will open to reveal a fast-moving cityscape scene in dark silhouette. The buildings passing by are marked with multipliers and some of them are brightly lit with Max Power Logos. The object is to click and stop the scene at a building with the highest multiplier possible, which will be applied to the entire triggering Stake. Catching the Max Power Logo wins the Progressive Jackpot.
Another special feature on Eldorado Max Power is its Super Games Bonus. This is triggered by catching three JPM Logos on an active payline, and it awards from 1 to 10 manually played Free Super Games. During the Super Games, any Diamond that appears anywhere on the reels will award a multiplier of 50X. Note that standard wins and Max Power wins are not available during the Super Games feature.
