Microgaming’s new “Lucky Rabbit’s Loot” is certainly one of the more fanciful games available at online casinos. At first glance, it looks more like a greeting card gone wild than a 5-reel, 50-payline slot. The style of illustration is pen and ink with splashes of watercolour. The Lucky Rabbit is something of a tired stuffed animal that hangs on the reels’ card suit symbols, and the music that accompanies each spin is a cacophony of acoustical guitar chords and cow bells.
Each of the 5 reels has four positions, so there are 20 reel stops in total. The player can wager on any number of paylines from 1 to 50 by clicking on the “Lines” button below the third reel. Alternatively, the “Slider” on either side of the reels allows the number of lines to be chosen by moving the “Lady Bug” up or down a leafy vine. The player may also choose to play from 1 to 20 units per line by clicking on the “Coins” button below the first reel.
Available credit denominations range from €0.01 to €0.20. The +/- toggles for adjusting the credit value are located in the flower pot below the first reel. Clicking on “Bet Max” will automatically set bets on all 50 paylines at the maximum 10 units per line. That makes the maximum wager per spin €200 when playing all lines with €0.20 units.
To start the game, simply click “Spin” in the lower right corner of the display. Winnings are displayed in the “Win” indicator immediately above Spin. Thee player’s current balance shows in the screen’s lower left-hand corner. For those who like to activate AutoPlay and allow the game to spin by itself, click on “Expert” mode at the bottom of the screen. The AutoPlay pop-up window allows the number of auto spins to be set from 5 to 9,999 spins.
The basic reel symbols on Lucky Rabbit’s Loot are the standard cards, Nines through Aces, paying from 5X to 250X for three or more matches. Higher awards are paid for matching cards suits—Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts and Spades—from 20X to 1000X. The Wild Heart symbol substitutes for any of the above symbols. When one or more Wild Hearts are used in winning combinations, only the highest win is paid.
Another symbol on the reels is the Lucky Rabbit’s Loot Logo scatter. Whenever 3, 4 or 5 such symbols appear on the reels in any positions, the payout is a total stake multiplier worth 2X, 10X or 50X, respectively. Combinations of three or more Lucky Rabbit’s Loot Logo scatters also trigger the game’s “Lucky Rabbit’s Free Spins Feature.”
The bonus consists of 8 free spins, and anytime a portion of stacked Wild Heart shows up on the reels, it will “slide” to fill the entire reel with Wild symbols. Because the Lucky Rabbit’s Loot Logos remain on the reels during the feature, it is possible to retrigger the 8 free spins indefinitely.
Lucky Rabbit’s Loot also has several special “Options” available in a pop-up menu. Among those are “QuickSpin,” audio “Sounds” on/off, graphic “High Quality Effects” on/off, and display options for “Coins” or “Credits.” The sounds are a bit hard to get used to, so the audio controls may get frequent use. Note that the reel symbols animate when they appear in winning combinations, and even in QuickSpin mode, the reels will pause to display all of the winning paylines.
