They offer not one or two special features but four separate Bonus Games, plus a Jackpot Adventure, a random “Explosion” bonus and a Gamble option after every single win. It’s like playing several slot games at once.
The cartoon character upon which this slot is based got its start as the animated opening sequence for a 1963 Blake Edwards movie called “The Pink Panther.” The film starred comedian Peter Sellers as a bumbling French police detective named Inspector Jacques Clouseau, and the now famous jazz-idiom “Pink Panther Theme” played at the very beginning was written by Henry Mancini.
In 1969, the cartoon version became its own Saturday morning television series, “The Pink Panther Show.” Numerous made-for-TV specials followed, along with two more Blake Edwards films to complete the trilogy in 1975-76. The very latest addition to the Pink Panther pantheon was Shawn Levy’s 2006 motion picture called “The Pink Panther” with Steve Martin recreating Sellers’ role as Clouseau.
Playtech’s five-reel, 40-payline innovation debuted in 2010. The Pink Panther slots feature symbols taken straight from the animated cartoon, such as Bombs, Pink Footprints, Paint Buckets, Magnifying Glasses, Inspector Clouseau and Little Man symbols. Winning combinations can also be made of three or more matching Tens through Aces on an active payline.
Of course, the Pink Panther is wild, substituting for any symbol except the Logo scatter symbols. The “cool cat” will pay a multiplier of 15X, 150X, 500X or 5,000X on the total amount bet when appearing on 2, 3, 4 or 5 reels, respectively. Meanwhile, the Scattered Logos are worth 5X, 25X or 125X when showing up on 3, 4 or 5 reels. Unlike most slot games, however, multiple Logos or Pink Panthers do not activate any bonus games; that occurs completely at random.

By far the most fun on the Pink Panther slots are the four randomly triggered Bonus Games. The Wheel of Pink Bonus Game allows a double wheel to be spun for wager multipliers of 5X, 7X or 9X plus continuous respins until “collect” comes up. The Color Pink Bonus Game provides three chances to increase winnings on the total amount bet as Pink and the Little Man paint a wall of numbers blue and pink, with the latter winning multipliers.
The Pink Trail Bonus Game offers up to four chances to have Inspector Clouseau follow a trail of pink panther footprints, each one of which is worth a multiplier value. The goal is to find a stolen diamond to double your bonus, but falling into a trap will cut the bonus in half and end the game.
Lastly, the Crack the Pink Code Bonus Game features ten safes that must be cracked to earn free spins, a multiplier or an expanding wild for reel three. When Clouseau shows up hiding in a safe, the safe-cracking ends and the free spins begin. And be sure not to dally during any of the games. The Pink Panther hanging out on the left of the screen will knock on the glass whenever he gets tired of waiting for some action.
