Go To bet365Thanks to Betsoft Gaming, virtually anyone can now have the experience of getting up on stage and performing with a heavy metal band in front of crowds of cheering fans. “Rock Star” is one of the latest additions to the software developer’s Slots-3 Series of 3D slot games, this time with a live concert theme. From the pyrotechnics on stage to the hard drinking and groupies that goes on in the back, it’s the whole package plus wicked graphics and non-stop audio.
Using Betsoft’s standard 5-reel, 30-payline slot format, Rock Star features both big payouts and exciting bonus features. The game is set in a concert stage context, with coloured floodlights surrounding the reels and the controls located at the bottom of the screen. Guitars and drums can be heard playing in the background unless the “Sound” on/off toggle above the first reel is used to silence them.
The coin denomination for the game can be adjusted by clicking directly on the “Choose Coin” indicator in the speakers at the lower left corner, from €0.02 to €0.50. Directly below the second reel is the “Bet Per Line” button on a guitar with +/- toggles to select from 1 to 5 lines. Under the third reel is the “Select Lines” button on another speaker; it can be used to choose from 1 to 30 lines to play. It is possible to set the Total Stake up to a maximum of €75.
As soon as the Stake has been set, clicking on the guitar marked “Spin” or the drum set marked “Max Bet Spin” will set the reels in motion. The band rocks out as the reels roll, and of course the symbols animate with sound effects for all the winning combinations. When a truly “Big Win” occurs, the entire band comes out on stage with their equipment and celebrates with a fireworks show.
The symbols displayed on Rock Star are what might be expected of rock band on tour. They include a Record Contract, Backstage Access ID, Whiskey Bottle, Magazine Cover and Groupies, as well as the four members of the band: Drummer, Bassist, Guitarist and Lead Singer. These symbols pay out line multipliers from 10X to 500X whenever three or more match up on an active payline.
Two wild symbols exist on the reels of Rock Star, too—the Gold Record and the Platinum Record. Not only do these records substitute for any of the above symbol, they also award line multipliers of 2X for Gold, 5X for Platinum and 10X for the two records together in a winning combination.
Anytime three or more Guitar symbols align from left to right on an active payline, the “Epic Solo Feature” is triggered. The Guitarist will come out on stage and play all alone while several of the reel symbols randomly change into bonus credits. At the end of his performance, all of the credits are added together and paid out along with the total won during the triggering spin in the main game.
Another special feature of Rock Star is the bonus round called “Are You Ready to Rock?” It is activated any time three or more VIP Access Ticket symbols appear in a winning combination from left to right on an active payline. A secondary bonus screen will appear showing the neck of a guitar pointed toward the player with blue, red and green frets at the end.
One by one, 20 coloured notes will randomly scroll down the neck of the guitar. The object is for the player to click on the corresponding fret just as a note reaches it. The more notes that are clicked, the greater the payout will be.
