Go To bet365The fictional superhero known as “Superman” was developed by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster in 1932. He has since become an American cultural icon as the leading character of the DC Comics series. Since 1938, the so-called “Man of Steel” has appeared in a variety of radio serials, television programmes, movies, newspaper strips and video games. Most recently, he was the subject of America’s longest running TV science fiction series, “Smallville” (2001~2011), and Warner Brothers’ 2013 full-length feature film entitled “Superman: Unbound.”
The “Superman” slot game produced by Cryptologic is based upon the graphic style of DC Comics. Featuring a 5-reel, 50-payline format with four positions per reel, this ranks among the first online slots to incorporate the “Bonus Bet” option, which allows the player to have an extra advantage in the game in return for playing all 50 lines and paying an additional 10 credits per spin.
The basic symbols on the Superman slots are items familiar from the comic book series, such as Sunglasses, Kryptonite, Tanks and the Daily Planet Globe, among others. These pay line multipliers from 5X to 2000X whenever three or more matching symbols appear on an active payline from left to right. The Lois Lane symbol is worth 2X, 20X, 50X or 250X when 2, 3, 4 or 5 of them appear in a row, while the Lex Luthor symbol is valued at 3X, 50X, 150X or 500X for such alignments.
Superman himself is the wild symbol for this game, substituting for any symbol except the Scattered Logo. Catching 2, 3, 4 or 5 Superman symbols in sequence on an active payline pays 5X, 125X, 500X or 5000X. Whenever Superman symbols appear o each of the three middle reels in any position, the Superman Free Games feature is initiated. The award is 10 free spins with an expanded Superman appearing at random on any reel each spin. During the Free Games, all wins with Superman substituting are multiplied by 2X to 5X, too. Note that the Superman Free Games cannot be retriggered.
The Scattered Logo symbol is worth a total wager multiplier of 2X, 5X, 15X or 100X when 2, 3, 4 or 5 such symbols appear anywhere on the reels. However, the Logo also becomes a “Bonus” symbol if the Bonus Bet is activated, and it shows the word “Bonus” instead of “Scatter” with the value of the scatter prizes multiplied by 50X.
Catching three or more Logo Bonuses on the reels will trigger the Save the World Feature. In this mode, a second screen appears in outer space, where Superman must navigate through a meteor shower and destroy missiles to win prizes. Once Superman reaches Earth, the player selects one of the three lead-lined doors. One leads to a room full of kryptonite, ending the feature; the second reveals a room of hostages for Superman to rescue for a cash prize; and the third leads to Lex Luthor, who Superman will capture, winning up to 100 times the triggering bet. Note that the Save the World Feature cannot be triggered during the Superman Free Games.
The control panel for Superman slots is set directly below the reels. In the middle below the third reel are up/down toggles for setting the number of paylines from 1 to 50 and the amount wagered per line from €0.01 to €20.00, thus making the maximum wager €1,000 in normal mode or €1,200 when the Bonus Bet is activated. There is an Autoplay option on the left side of the control panel for selecting automated spins, and the Bonus Bet on/off button is on the right.
